Vertical Rescue Skills

Vertical Rescue Skills is a challenging, hands-on three-day workshop that takes the experienced rope rescue technician to the next level by developing advanced personal rope access and rescue skills.

This physically demanding workshop teaches technicians to move efficiently between rope systems, transition between configurations and perform minimalistic rescue techniques when traditional systems may not be practical. Each technician is provided a personal rope access kit and learns how every component works and how to get the most from it.

Participants are introduced to maneuvers commonly found in SPRAT and IRATA programs, though the workshop is not a substitute for formal SPRAT or IRATA certification. The emphasis is on efficiency, adaptability, equipment knowledge and sound decision-making in complex vertical environments.
